At room temperature and pressure, it is a colorless liquid with chloroform-like odor. It can be miscible with ethanol, ether, chloroform and benzene. Dissolved in about 10,000 times the volume of water, melting point: -22.2℃, boiling point: 121.2℃, relative density: 1.63
